How about tourist visa? you can get multiple entry for 10 years, but I guess no of months you can stay in India is a question. I am applying for my son too, both of us hold Indian passport, what you guys suggest? go for OCI?

1. if your company pays for everything, why such reluctance to put up a few more dollars for your own cause? think of those that pay for everything themselves and still contribute.
2. each contribution to paypal costs, they take a chunk off it. making small 10 buck contribution is really not the intelligent way to go.
3. there used to be a 20/mnth recurring contribution. now it does no exist. what do you want? should we throw out the original 20 buck guys? of course they can continue doing it. i can't imagine why it would put you off? btw we did not really lose any money by going to a minimum of 50- you know why? those who were serious still contributed. others who were whining at that time (why is there not a 10/mnth option) were in many (though not all) cases not going to contribute anyway. this is just fyi.
4. what is 50 bucks a month? step back and think sometime. a family meal/movie? do you indulge yourself occasionally worth 50 bucks?
i think in many cases the answer is yes. the money we need for lobbying ie very large....it's hard to make it form 20 bucks at a time when barely 5% of the membership contributes.
you have the choice hereof donating 100 now and considering it as two 50 buck donations, so your next one will be delayed. there are various ways of looking at this.

I am writing this on behalf of a friend whom I helped him in e-filing his EAD& AP Renewal.
I too had the same situation. Before it gave this message, it gave a warning, Middle Name is not entered. Since it was a warning, I ignored it and went to the next screen, but there it gave the same message as you got "are still suggested fields not completed on the following forms".
I veryfied each and every field and tried 3/4 times, but every time the same message, out of frustration, I just some middle initial and submitted, then it worked.
But actually there is no middle name in my name. But the form got submitted with the confirmation.
I called the USCIS and told them about the same problem, they asked to submit a letter asking for correction of the name along with supporting documents. SO I have submitted the same.
Actually I have applied both EAD and AP e-file simultaneously. Both are Renewals.
I have received the receipt for EAD, but not for AP. Also recieved the FP notice for EAD.
I called USCIS again, said about not received the AP receipt notice. They said, they have mailed it. but I said about the middle name problem and said not received yet. They said since I submitted a letter for correcting Name, that will take care of it. For not receving the Receipt notice for AP, they said, they will mail a new one.
Exactly after one month(Whichi is yesterday), I have received the replacement Receipt Notice of AP, but suprisingly the receipt number on this is mentioned the actual Receipt number of the EAD, but clearlt mentioned this application is of Case Type I-131. So I called USCIS again and said about the wrong receipt number, they gave me a confirmation number on the case and said, wait for 45 days and call then if I don;t receive any update on this.
Actually, I dont know how to tackle your issue but I went ahead and certified my 131 efile without putting MI as I dont have it. I am waiting for my receipt now. I think, its an USCIS application issue.

To lead India to a good present & future,why do we send these faxes?
GC or no GC, I feel the video tells me to do the best for my nation India.
To do that,do I need immigration to US????
I am not against any camapaigns,but using the videos for this campaign doesnt look like a good idea.May I know whats the point of "Lead India " videos here :-)

I applied for EAD and AP renewals concurrently on May 28th and sent following support docs for AP.
1. 2 photos.
2. old AP copy
3. I-485 copy
4. Passport biometric pages
5. EAD copy
FP appnt on June 23rd.
AP Approved e-mail on June 23rd.
My wife's Receipt was just 10 nos difference but she hasn't got it yet.

3. Did you get your MCA evaluated to US master's? If so, could you give the name of the agency?
4. Did you use experience gained from the employer to file EB2?

I only came to know about USINPAC recently with this flowergate.
And i don't know about USINPAC mission or robinder.
But, if USINPAC is such a great organization, then IV and USINPAC should sit together and support each other.

This is not new, I was advised the same by my attorneys. I have heard "internet rumors" of people successfully filing EB-2 for job descriptions such as senior software engineer and senior systems analyst, which are normally classified as job zone 4. However, I was advised by two different law firms that this is not possible. According to both attorneys I consulted, you must get a job zone 5 classification to file EB-2. Note that "information technology manager" is job zone 5, so if you're in a senior position and supervising people (e.g., a manager or even a team lead), you may be able to obtain this classification.

Since you ask - the answer is YES. Not sure if you have heard of the "Servant Leadeship" but that is a management philosophy that believes an organization makes the most progress when the "leaders" at the top take the attitude of being "Servants" to those below them. The idea is based on the simple premise that people are more engaged and motivated to work when their boss listens to them and takes the trouble to keep them updated on what is going on. Instead, "Leaders" can always take the "high and mighty" road where they look down upon those below them (for various reasons - lack of trust being just one of them) but that is never going to be as effective or efficient as the former model I just mentioned. Don't take it from me though - feel free to do your own research on this topic and you will find that an increasing number of companies are starting to adopt this philosophy in order to achieve superior results and you don't have to look far to see how this is being practised in the world of politics today (President Obama)..

Are you willing to copy paste what you have written above and send it to your VP and CEO of the company and ask them to behave like your servants because this is the best philosophy for a company to progress? :D:D
Please also ask them to be transparent and keep all employees informed of all discussions because you contribute your sweat and blood for the company?

Likewise can you write this to your lawyer and ask him to behave like a servant because you pay him lot of money? :D:D
Come on. Just because we have this open forum where we can hide our identity does not mean we can write anything. On this thread I see 2 anti-immigrant, anti-IV posters. They pose as regular members and whenever anyone posts such thread they do not lose any opportunity to attack.
Let me share my experience with IV. Initially I did not know much about IV and when my friends said lot of good things about it, I always dismissed them and never came to the site. Then one day I decided to check myself and contacted IV and a core member was nice enough to explain everything. My senior member friends from my town were also helpful in explaining. So I will let them do the good work they are doing. I know I cannot spend so much time on social service that they do. I would rather spend my time on the beach playing beach ball.

gc101, if you are not able to get married before you you file your I485 (by Aug 17th).
One of my friend asked Shiela Murthy and she said that in order to be able to add my spouse , I would have HAD to get married before July 31st (which I couldn't anyway), because, then, only I/we will be eligible to add my spouse.
Also, I sent in the papers for my I-485 last night. Now, hoping to god that there is an RFE on this and some kind of delay.

As of May 2007, USCIS reported a staggering 329,160 FBI name check cases pending, with approximately 64 percent (211,341) of those cases pending more than 90 days and approximately 32 percent (106,738) pending more than one year.
While the percentages of long-pending cases compared to last year are similar, the absolute numbers have increased. There are now 93,358 more cases pending the name check than last year. Perhaps most disturbing, there are 31,144 FBI name check cases pending more than 33 months as compared to 21,570 last year – over a 44 percent increase in the number of cases pending more than 33 months. The backlog appears likely to get worse, because a USCIS fee increase -- slated to take effect in July -- has prompted a 50 percent rise in new naturalization applications so far this year.
