I have sent money using icicibank's M2I service . Usually they take 5 working days to remit the money(atleast 8 days to transfer). I made four transactions last week(mon, tue, wed, thu) and they already remitted the money using low conversion rate.
It just took less than three days to remit the money this time. Bank deliberately did this just to steal money from me. I have lost more than 35 paise per dollar and it comes close to Rs 10,000. This is ridiculous and its a big robbery.
How do i get my money back? How do i make a compliant about this bank? They have no one to assist me over the phone.
What to do now?. Rs 10,000 may look too small for us. But how can we let banks to act like a criminals.
Any help/suggestion/comment?

Many sites. What kind of alerts are you looking for? Vols? Greeks? You can also customize most of the alerts depending on spreads you might be trading. This is possible even in simple option accounts with Level 4 approval.

This is applicable when 140 has been approved. If 485 is retrogressed then you will get 3 year extension. If it's current you will get 1 year extension. Guess depends on luck. For e.g if some one has applied for extension in July he/she will now get only 1 year. I found this in a lawyer's chat transcripts.

There are people like him who have dedicated serious time and effort in exposing the misuse of H1B by a few bad apples and then use them to paint the entire H1B program as evil and unneccesary.
And no, we are not responsible for this.
The companies that exploit and the DOL that looks the other way when this happens, and the AILA that goes in lockstep with exploiting employers are responsible.

I don't think I agree completely. I called all of the lawmakers for the CHC campaign, and while you are right, I spoke to the assistants, they were all polite and promised to pass on the message, which is what matters in the end.
Lawmakers know that we do not have voting privileges yet, but they also know that we are contributing to this economy far greater than many. I do not remember the source or the thread, but this question was asked before about an online petition, but ironically, that is shown to be not as effective as phone calls.
If you ask me to sign a piece of paper, I might do it even if I am only vaguely supportive of the idea. But I will certainly not take the trouble to call (or better yet) go to the senator/congressman's office and present my case in person unless I really beleive in it.

In the form, it says - you can use extra sheet to put the details of your case. I put this letter that had all my case details (this is the letter I used for everyone after that).
For Napolitano, did you not get the sample letter from me? I have sent it to around 50 odd people and counting .... It has everything, address and whatever else is required. You can just make changes to put your details in.

You need to understand how legal system works. Lawyer can not file lawsuite by himself/herself. It has to come from Employer, that too, when employer's H1-B petition is denied based on memo info or H1-B worker is denied entry. Damages (or Loss) must be shown before a civil suit can be filed.

I really hate those people , who get fraudulent H1B's and GC's through Fraud Desi Consultants. I really wish USCIS to investigate approved GC Cases and deny them , if found a fraud.
This might come as a surprise to some of you, but someone needs to say it out loud. GET A LIFE FOLKS!!!! there is more to life then EB, GC and all. it seem all we desi's can think of is how to get a green card so we can live here with peace and never have to worry bout getting laid off or anything.
Few points:
1) having gc is a privilege not a right.
2) US has every right to choose whom they want to have in their country.
3) If getting PR or citizenship of a western country is the goal there are many countries which have a fair point based system.
4) Considering the number of fraud's committed by Indian body shoppers and people who use them, i am not surprised USCIS is extra careful when it comes to Indian applications. Anyone who got his wife with no exp with software dev an h1b visa from some cheat in Jersey knows what i am talking bout . My freind got his wife an H1 after showing she knew software testing even though her major was fine arts and all she was good at was web surfing :)
5) have a back up. i came here in 2001 as student and have seen it all. I am on h1b since 2004. i knew we have too many people whose sole aim in life is a American GC. to avoid becoming one of those who check processing dates first thing in morning, i applied for Canadian PR, got it in 8 months and i am not even gonna bother applying for labor, i-140 and all those precious life controlling documents.
Wake up friends, you have options. Don't let your life depend on you application status.

Firstly, I am not a lawyer and I would recommend that you get a lawyer to help out.
As mentioned before this is a civil lawsuit and not a crimial lawsuit. Impact on GC should not be a factor but consult an immigration lawyer.
Now depending on the state law you should not be liable for Cars2 through Cars7. It could easily be argued that they did not leave a safe distance between them and hence the ripple effect. What the insurance determines is the fault is not necessarily how the law would interpret it. So if you insurance of any of the car insurance assign percentages of fault, it is pretty much based on their calculations. Did you recieve a traffic citation? If so did it indicate that you were at fault for all the subsequent accidents? Did you contest the citation? If so what was the outcome. If you contested the citation and got the charges dropped you have a stronger case against each of the other plaintiffs.
Try to settle out of court and get the lawyers to drop the case. The way you do that is to claim that you don't have any money. Remember the lawyers for each of the plaintiffs have done an asset check on you and they know how much you have. Although the judge could request that each of the transactions to reverse. Do the following:

Currently before the Senate, the measure would allow undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States and earn a chance to apply for permanent residency. An alternative bill that already passed the House of Representatives would turn the country�s 11 million undocumented immigrants into criminals, subject to arrest by local authorities. �If you are an undocumented immigrant in the United States, at the moment you have two choices: You can either stay put and hide, or you can lose everything you have,� said Kelly Fincham, executive directors of the newly formed Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform, which organized the meeting at St. Mary�s Help of Christians Catholic Church. Fincham urged those in attendance, even ones who cannot vote, to call or e-mail their U.S. senators and representatives and ask them to vote for the Kennedy-McCain bill. �Do you really want your future to be decided behind closed doors in Washington, or do you want to have a voice?� she asked. An early indicator of the success of her group, formed in December, was the attendance of U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, who received a standing ovation after addressing the Friday meeting. �If we were to cut off immigration in this country within two, three or four generations, we would become a tired, stagnant, stratified society,� he said. Congress is expected to pass sweeping immigration reform legislation later this year affecting America�s estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants, of whom around 40,000 are Irish. One version, which already passed the House of Representatives, is an �enforcement only� bill sponsored by Representatives James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) and Peter King (R-N.Y.). Known as the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act, the measure makes it harder for legal permanent residents to become U.S. citizens by allowing government officials to deny naturalization applications based on subjective information or secret evidence. The measure intensifies sanctions against employers who hire undocumented immigrants and requires them to confirm the authenticity of their workers� Social Security numbers. It gives local police the power to enforce immigration laws and penalizes states and cities that protect confidentiality of immigrant crime victims and witnesses. Other provisions would make drunken driving a deportable offense and mandate the construction of five double-layer border fences at a cost of $3.2 million per mile. The Kennedy-McCain bill, known as the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act, was introduced before the Senate last year by Senators Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.). The measure would permit undocumented or �illegal� immigrants currently living in America to obtain work visas for up to six years. You are right in the sense of returns but I am also looking at investing ,not 50 lakhs but small amts. The rturns may not be good but the main reason I think people invest is because of the surity that the land price appreciates more than 50% and be sure your principal is safe compared to stocks or other.

That is speculation. Speculation is what is causing all these problems. When the game stops all the speculators dump the property and the values spiral down.

I have said this before too....Rather than 9000 untrustworthy members, we should only have 900 trustworthy....
Get people with fake email address out of forum...It will also get rid of someone who is from say NumberUSA.
Make people with questions pay for answers. How about creating a system in which members do not answer to anyone's question untill he mentions about his contribution to this organization?

Macaca, you are so right in asking those blunt questions but is that going to make a difference? I dont think so, your audience here is very thick skinned and will come up with all the BS in the world to not contribute.
I think we should not allow Leechers to start new threads. Conservation of resources should also be on the priority list when raising the money is such a difficult task.
