We are planning to make a trip to Hyderabad, India along with my wife and my little baby boy. After reading all of your experiences, I am not sure which one should I opt for. We have an expired Visa on passport, planning to Use AP. As we are travelling first time with the little baby boy, I am looking for some hassle free flying. Today I had an infopass appointment but it was not at all helpful (The chinese guy whom I talked had no idea at all).. could any body please tell me how to open SR (Any help is greatly appreciated guys)

For those of us who have become "current" with the latest VB movements, I have some discouraging news for you: at least for the Nebraska Processing Center, the current processing date for an employment-based I-485 has retrogressed from September to August,2006. Only a small step backwards but a step backwards all the same.
It's still a step forward then not having an opportunity to file at all :cool:

Several people on the forum seem to be getting fingerprint notices, EAD, AP etc. in mail.
I am one of the few July 2nd filer who has not seen any activity on my case yet..no checks cashed, no 485 receipt, no EAD etc. etc.
I am just trying to guage as to how many of us July 2nd filers are in this boat.... my 140 was approved from TSC, 485 was mailed to NSC..

There are 37275 applications with PD of 2004 or earlier. Can we make an assumption that about 20 to 30% of these would try to port once economy turns around in the next 18 to 24 months? How will this impact wait time for a EB2 with PD Jan 2006?
I am really disappointed in the info provided via the foia effort. It told me that there are only 4118 applications before me. 4118 vs 28074. Worst kind of sick joke.

Based on the PD on my 485 Interview Notice (Aug-2007) there are 53192 applications before me.
I do not know how my application was counted when the data was put together.

Based on what the person from Rep. Lofgren's office said "there would be vote in two months", does it mean really the Sept. 26 is not "the last" date for this congress? Would there be a lame duck session? And then of course for all the politicians lame duck session would be the best opportunity to tackle this.
From the link posted by 'polapragada', the person in Rep. Lofgren's office said that there was opposition. Nothing is coming out from IV core or any of the known sources. Obviously this is becoming an uphill battle but there is still some hope. The only and I repeat "the only" thing that we can do is contact all the judiciary committee members and express support. I feel we should also call Lofgren's office, Sensenbrenner's office, Pelosi's office to express support.
Please note that the very fact that McCain is a republican nominee proves that these NumberUSA and FAIR are minorities even in extreme right wingers. They are just noisy.
But as I have said our call campaign has been pathetic and we should be doing at least 100 times better.

Today is my day. After 13 years into this country, finally I am green. I tried SR, Senator help, infopass without much help. 2 days ago when called, Texas POJ, one nice IO told me case is not yet assigned to officer, will send email, looks like worked this time. BUT this could be just incidental. Thanks IV. I have updated the profile. I only received the email, no text message.
