WD, I am with you on this.
Heck, if no one will do it, I will send that letter with different names multiple times.....
Dobbs is not only unfair, he is the ultimate hypocrite. Nothing but an opportunistic Fagg*t.
And if WWJ cares to contact me back and ask me to justify my statement, I am ready to do it.
I am not going to sit on my comfy behind and wait for lunatics like Dobbs to decide what my future will be....
If I go down, I am going to go down swinging.....
I am even going to call the radio and ask the same thing you have put in that letter if they ignore my emails.

I would think IT experience is the same anywhere so taking it to canada should be ok? If not there are plenty of other management jobs there. It might be a new start but in a one year timespan you will be well established.

INVASION USA
GOP senator: Filibuster guest-worker program
Arizona's Kyl believes there might be enough votes to block legislation
A filibuster by Republicans is in order if President Bush presses forward in the new Congress with legislation to establish a guest-worker program with a path to citizenship, says Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.
Kyl, however, speaking yesterday to nationally syndicated radio host Laura Ingraham, said he was uncertain whether or not Republicans would have the 40 votes necessary to block the legislation.
"I would certainly hope that the majority of Republicans in the Senate would not be complicit in passing legislation that is not wise, that for example, would put everybody on a path to citizenship and say that temporary workers get to get U.S. citizenship, and so on," Kyl said, according to HotAir.com
In January, Democrats will have a 51-49 majority over Republicans in the Senate. A supermajority of 61 votes would be needed to prevent a filibuster.
"I would certainly hope that we would have the 40 votes to be able to stop [the legislation], but, I don't know, we're going to have to wait and see; it'll be very close," said Kyl, who won re-election to another six-year term last week.
Arguing for the guest-worker program, the Bush administration has insisted it's not practical to deport the millions of foreigners who are in the country illegally.
"The cost of identifying all of those people and sending them back would be stupendous. It would be billions and billions of dollars," Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said in an interview last year.
"One of the reasons I think that we've been focusing on the idea of a temporary worker program as part of a larger strategy for border security is because it would be a way to siphon off people who really want to do nothing more than work here, put them into a regulated program we would know who they are we would then be able to send them back at the end of a period of three years or six years," he told Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel program "Hannity & Colmes."
"They would have made some money, they could take it back home, and then we could focus our other resources on the people that don't want to do it the right way, and we could get those people sent out."
Last May, just 36 senators three of them Democrats voted against a bill that included a guest-worker program. The Senate was unable to work out a comprise before the Nov. 7 midterm elections with the House, which passed legislation rebuffing Bush's desire for foreign workers to gain legal employment.
Last summer, Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., announced a compromise plan called the "No Amnesty Reform Act," which would require all illegal aliens to leave the United States and apply at "Ellis Island Centers," operated by private companies in Mexico under a license from the U. S. government. They would then obtain a "Good Neighbor Safe Visa" qualifying them to re-enter the U.S. as "guest workers."
As But members of a group called the Secure Borders Coalition have opposed Pence's proposal, labeling it "amnesty lite." The group argues the plan would provide for the "wholesale importation of aliens and a path to citizenship for them."
Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist told WND in August he believed the result of the Pence plan would be to flood the U.S. with millions more illegal immigrants.
"Probably within hours of the Ellis Island Centers opening, counterfeit copies of the required documentation to re-enter the U.S. will be available on the streets of Los Angeles and dozens of other U.S. cities," he said.

It is a very complicated case, I don't think any one on this forum is qualified to answer your questions, but the incident is indeed a tragic one.
I don't think your GC will be affected though as it is a civil and not a criminal case.
Thanks guys for the moral support and quick responses.
More details are as follows:
1. This accident occurred in 18 months back in CA
2. We were going on high way and suddenly the car infront of me came to a sudden halt and as I didn't had any reaction time, even though I applied brakes I went and rammed into the van in front of me, which in turn hit the car infront (like a ripple effect) and totally 8 cars were involved in that collision.
3. So at first we thought it is entirely my fault as I was coming at 50s and I rear ended the care which inturn created this ripple effect.
4. But the actual scenario is, the van infront of me came to halt, as it rear ended the car infront of it and due to which the other car hit the one infront.
So already one accident happened and I caused one more and as mine was a 11 seater and coming at 50s the impact was high and involved in 8 cars.
All this happened within in mins or secs, I would say
--> --> --> --> --> --> --> -->
Myself car1 car2 car3 car4 car5 car6 car7
In the above pictorial representation,
a) car 1 hit car2 which in turn hit car3 (1st impact)
b) Myself hit car1 again which ripple effected all the way upto car7 (2nd one)
I was the only person injured and and had to be hospitalized with bi-lateral hip fractures and right knee fractures and was out of work for 4 months.Luickly my insurance covered most of the amount thats been charged(around 300K)
Finally I recovered to a great extent and out of blue gets a lawsuit from the owner of car3 against myself, Car1 and car2.
BTW, insurance determined that my fault is 80% as I caused the greater collision and they paid the property damages for all the cars involved.
As per the lawsuit, seems car3 drivers spouse had herniated disc due to this accident and are expecting $200,000 for future treatment
So they are claiming the following:
3 milliion for : other damages(emotional etc.....)
200,0000 for: future treatment
50,000 for: lost wages
Thats is what the story of my life :(
Hope this gives u more details to provide me with more suggestions.

Are you both physicians ? (the J-1's)
Looking at your RD reminds me of a friend of mine who has a I-485 RD of Dec 2004, but he is in EB3. Unfortunately his NameCheck was not clear even in the July 2007 fiasco, the reason he is still not green !
He and his wife recently sold their house and everything else and left their jobs and moved back to India! Enjoying themselves there while their I-485 application papers turn yellow !
You paid 68K for legal and immigration fees... that is steeep man ! I wonder how...

Zazona report goes wrong in two directions.
1. Benificieries of tax treaties among H-1B applicants are very small in number. They are from mostly European countries.
Based on this small number of H-1B immigrants who do not pay Social security, Zazona report generalizes that entire H-1B immigrants do not pay taxes. This is called "Hasty generalization" - a common propaganda weapon employed by unethical writers to confuse their readers.
2. Even the H-1B immigrants who do not pay Social security taxes, however small their number may be, have a right to utilize this feature provided by their home country to safeguard their hard-earned money. They should not be blamed, ridiculed, villified for taking care of themselves in the retirement.
Zazona report never talks about Americans employed in Eurpoe utilizing similar treaties to their advantage. That is the other side of the story.
If you read NumbersUSA reports also, you will find the same theme. The writer willfully obscures the fact and tries to sell his/her belief as a fact to the readers. I sent them e-mails to point out the inaccuracies, but they do not care and they are bent on selling these fallacies to public. No wonder the mainstream media does not accept their versions.

Though most people here would want retroactive action, I think such a rule will only be applicable for applicants based on a cut off date that will be a future date.

This is something that is most unwelcome by employers and lawyers and thats why this may have opposition. Especially those consulting companies that thrive on these things.

Was this the first time you are coming to USA?
or you went for a visit ? If yes what was ur original status in US..F1 or H1.
I am going for chennai H1B visa on Feb 6....F1 to OPT to H1B...Scared to helll...
I appeared for an interview on Jan 2nd. It took the consulate officers 16 days to call me and ask for original documents again. Darn PIMS verification! I resubmitted the documents on Jan 22nd through the drop box... and have been calling them daily to track the progress. They say they need 7 working days from the day the documents are received. I have already had to reschedule the flights once..and my employer is getting worried now. If I had known about the delays at Chennai post before, I wont have applied here. Chennai sux!!!

Assuming Level-II falls under Eb2( Assumption as we know it's not 100% correct)
2008- LEVEL II : 4000
2007 - LEVEL II : 11495
2006- LEVEL II : 14616
2005- LEVEL II : 841
If you add-up these figures it comes to Total EB2 PERM:: 30,952. Now remove 2008 ( 4k) and some people ( 5k) uto 2006 got their GC's by last year. So that figure does come to very close to what Senator letter is saying.
Thank's

You probably didn't get my point.
I am trying to distinguish between 'offering to cover' vs 'actually have covered'. There could be a lot of difference.
I get your point. I have not used it so far. I figured if need arises and the insurance company refuses to pay then there are legal avenues to claim money from them.
