Ok, I had hoped not to bite the bait, but I am human, nothing recharges and roils like someone saying "you are EB3, you are worthless compared to US the mighty EB2s".
The misleading continues
1) "VDLRAO" (no disrespect to his prediction capabilities) says EB2 will be current soon, so why are you raising this voice.
Well, if it is going to be current soon enough, then any action to redirect EB1 numbers should not be a cause of concern for EB2s should it? If you are going to become current soon, then it means there aren't many people waiting in the queue.
2) We should support the visa recapture
You all are assuming that EB3 does not support it. Unlike me, most EB3s are very active in calling, contributing and supporting those events. I have personal reservations about asking for a change in law when I am the direct beneficiary (I feel like those big oil companies who use their clout to get laws favourable to them, nothing wrong, just that I dont like to do it). Having said that, I have no problems in asking and demanding that the law be applied as written.
Once I have my GC done with, I intend to write to the representatives that barring progressive experience in the same company rule should be removed, because it is the experience that matters, not where you get it. Why should someone who chooses to be loyal be discriminated against another who has no qualms about his company's future.

Can someone please post the steps to open an SR and get an Infopass? I may have a biometrics appointment coming up soon. Can they help with application status questions?

Biometrics has no questions to answer. Just follow their instructions at the center.
To create SR,
Call the toll free number and select some options for you to reach a live representative.
Tell them that you are waiting for a very long time and needs update.
You need to have your receipt notice with you. And your wife too (matters only if you are married, just for the sake of it, do not bring in anyone else's wife...just kidding)
If your wife is not with you, they will create the SR for her. Hence suggested. Take down the name of Rep and the confirmation number.
That's it.

When I call through vonage phone, the wireless internet connection to other computers is getting lost. Is this the problem others have too?
Is it having another router in between your vonage phone and cable /DSL connection solve the problem?

And agree with you that foreclosure is only an option if you 'really' can't pay your monthly dues and that too for a sustained period of time - if one has the money to pay the monthly mortgage, one should continue to pay it off even if the asset value as plummeted to rock bottom because that is what you have singed in for - the amount of loan you took out to buy that house. No excuse from that!

The only thing people know through various private websites just indicates that there are a plenty of people who are still waiting for filing fee checks cashed or receipt notices received for the cases which were filed as early as July 2, 2007, not to mention any later cases.
We reported earlier that the USCIS had allegedly received total of 800,000 cases for the July VB fiasco cases. There is an unconfirmed report that they have completed the receipting only half way through of the total, meaning approximately 400,000. There are no sources of information to verify or confirm the figures. For adults (man or woman) only Tetanus and MMR is needed. Children, take your child's school vaccination record; by elementary school end, this record should be complete and they will not no vaccination needed. Go to your doctor /HMO and get these done. For MMR they will say, oh, you don't need, we will do antibody assay (to squeeze more money from Insurance). Show your left hand and ask them to poke. Tetatus is IM and MMR is SC (sub cutaneous). Then and there take a vaccination report.
Go to doctor. First visit - they will draw sample (for HIV test) and then give Mantoux Test; this is Intra Dermal injedtion. usa your right hand - (for BCG or TB). No skin reaction, don't worry.
Skin reaction over 5mm with raised skin (induration or something). I had a postive skin reaction. Then doctor will take complete physical , take an x-ray. In 99% of case TB will be ruled out ( you see the positive skin reaction is saying that your were exposed to TB bacteria in the past - not necessarily disease). The chest X-Ray is the dignostic proof, that no TB was there at all or is not thee now. This X-Ray and Physical is on the 3rd day after 48 hours. The X-ray is not included in the sealed cover, only conclusions of X-ray and Physical.
For those 1%, don't worry. Even if you are diganosed your I-485 will not be rejected. You have to take an undertaking and prescriptions and medicines. You will be treated in 3 to 6 months. Then they may complete your case. This para is my educated, logical and common sense guess.
For a good doctor, in Denver / Aurora area of CO, PM me. Good and nice American Doctor and staff.
All you said is correct, except for you don't need Hepatitis B if you are over 16. No, there are no more tests involved, unless your tb is positive. If you tb is positive you need to do chestX-ray. I know that because I was just doing the tests for myself. Varicella must be taken twice 30 days apart. Same applies to MMR.
I hope this helps. If you go to a good doctor, he will give you a complete list of things that you need to do before coming on the medical exam.

Friends,
Finally we got our receipt numbers today from the Check Images. Our Application reached USCIS on 07/03 by USPS Mail. Don't know who signed it. Have been waiting for it patiently. All our receipt numbers start with SRC so from Texas. My I140 was approved form Texas and there was an LUD on the I140 on 07/28.
All the best for whom ever is waiting for the receipt numbers. You guys should get it pretty soon.

The question is how would you identify which jobs are genuine and which are not. In addition, the question the porting comes at I-485 stage.
So in other words there could very well be job out there and you won't know till its I-140 is approved if it is for porting reasons.
Also, a good/established company may most likely will not file a new labor and I-140 for a person because it an unncessary expenditure for them.
So guess who are the people who are most benefitted by this...

If the objective of your exercise is to eliminate alleged non-genuine EB2 jobs, that really don't exist, but are simply advertised just for the sake of porting by unscrupulous companies who stand to gain money by this, then you certainly are making a valid point.
But I still do not understand how a lawsuit will help? Was the labor-sub elimination the result of a lawsuit? Also, I would be concerned about lots of other valid/genuine companies who really have jobs for BS + 5 years experience ...?

Yes this is true. last year i my wife's EAD was dealyed after 90 days so i walked into a USCICS centre and they said they no more issue INTERIM EAD's.
