The main goal of IV is to bring an end to labor processing delay in the backlog center and I-485 retrogression. We have consistently mentioned this in all possible forums. This has been clearly mentioned on home page. And if there is anybody who has any doubt, we would request you to please call us at (281) 576-7185.
I am beginning to realize that for some people who do not want to contribute, there will always be plenty of reasons and plenty of excuses not to participate & contribute. I think these people are the ones who are actually responsible for the problems of all of us. Our problems do not originate in the slow GC process or the existing bad legislation. Our problems originate due to the people who are always looking for reasons to not participate or do anything or these people who are always looking for reasons to feel offended. And these people are sure doing a wonderful job because there will always be plenty of reasons to feel offended or not feel part of the group or not find enough motivation to feel part of the bigger community.
Asking questions or requesting a specific item in the goals is one thing. People beating the drum of transparency …. That is no big deal either. Everybody is entitled for their opinion. But people watching from the sidelines or for the people who want to include agenda as Goals of the IV or for the people putting conditions to their contributions, here is what I have to say to you. I would sincerely request you to never visit Immigration Voice or any other immigration related forum or website. You guys are the real problem because you are the once helping to foster the current system by not participating in brining the change. At the end of the day, know that you are the real culprits not the system which will be shaped by the contribution of each of us.
In last 2 weeks the contributions has really come down drastically. Everybody please note that we are running very low on the funds collection. All of us have two choices. One, contribute for this cause generously and lead the friends and acquaintances by example and tell them to do the same. Secondly, find reasons to not participate or not to contribute due to this, that or whatever …. The choice is entirely yours. But with your choice also understand whether you are being part of the solution or part of the problem. And whatever you do (including posting negative messages), I would sincerely request everybody to ask yourself one question, whether you (or your post) are strengthening or weakening this effort.
I would like to request all the members who have not yet contributed to please contribute generously. Please put your money where your mouth is. This effort or any similar effort for that matter cannot do much without the necessary funds that only come in the form of contributions from its members. And for those of us who have already contributed in the past, its time to please contribute more and help to fuel this effort.
This is not just about the life of the people who started this effort or the core/active members who have taken the initiative and responsibility. This is about all of us whether or not you feel part of it or not. It doesn’t make any difference how you feel about the situation or state of affairs. Why? Because this will be over very soon. And for the people who want to continue to ponder over this idea of whether or not they have a sense of belonging to IV, I would sincerely request you to please understand and know that by any contribution to this effort, you are strengthening your own voices. Know that this is not about anybody else but you.

does this mean that i cannot get a 3 yr extension based on approved I-140 pp? My labor is not pending for 365 days and so I am solely depending on I-140 approval for a 3 yr extension. I am filing i-140 and i-485 concurrently before July 5...will this give me an EAD option even if 140 takes longer to get approved?

Bill rate? 70/30 basis?? Contract??? I would like the OP to report his employer to DoL. DoL and USCIS will kick both the OP and the employer. It is easy to get carried away saying that the employer is blood sucker etc. But very clearly, you should know that there can't be these kinds of contracts on H1. The employer knows that people who go to them are on thin ice, and so does the employee (employer is there to do business -- he is not running charity).
Maybe you guys want OP to go to DoL so that both the employer and OP get kicked out of this country (that is good for all of us) due to obvious immigration fraud.
To top it, OP goes on an offensive when people point of the bitter truth to him. This site should not promote illegal behavior, anybody seeking advise on these topics should be severely castigated, because they broke the law too (and they know it, just dont want to admit it). Ya know what? I am so SICK AND TIRED of our lawmakers bowing down to those illegals, who don't contribute anything to our society. That's right, NOTHING. They steal the jobs that Americans WANT to do, and our lawmakers just bend over and lick their boots!
I married an Indian here on H1-B and it's been two years since we've filed for his greencard. Do you think we've heard anything yet? Only thing we know for sure is that we are getting shafted for following the letter of the law while Elvira (vampire) arellano is sitting up in that pile of crap called a church, with politicians like Barack Obama slobbering all over her. Not much good news for EB2 and EB3 India. I hope folks realize and do the lobby day seriously.
Here is the timeline for folks that are not serious
EB2 India: Waiting for July - October spillovers thinking that most EB2 will be current. The prediction threads have hyped this a lot. Many will benefit this year. But many will miss this bus too. Some from those who will miss this bus, would be back wanting to do something in Nov - May timeframe. Others will waste their time on predictions and trackers and make those site owners rich.
EB3 India: Many who filed in July 2007 are still happy with EAD status. They worry and contact IV only if their I140 is revoked, I485 denied or if EAD renewal is delayed. Some still sulk or want to blame someone (even IV) for their delays. Those who have not filed I485 yet are few in number. Many new Eb3s still do not know the extent of the backlogs. With time they will slowly learn about the backlogs and wait times. When they suffer due to lack of EAD, they will all make noise on IV asking for some action. This is the reason why the I485 filing action item thread is still weak and pre-mature. I would give another 2 years for the non-I485 folks to have retrogression sink in.
Retrogression is not going away. If it goes away, only applicants will benefit from it. And these applicants are too weak and small in number to even raise their voice. So why would anyone pass a law to make these people happy that do not even want any law changed. After 2 years all the folks who are not participating in advocacy days and contributing, will contribute to IV. At that time, if we in core are still around, would rather ask them to lead the effort if they can and if they are really serious. The current advocacy day campaign and contributions are a measure of seriousness for us to plan our next agenda items.

I believe any efforts to make USICIS accept all applications can be couter productive. You can have some people getting stuck for sure for many years before they get their green cards. also since new fees kick in on July 30th, you will have to pay for the EAD,AP.
The law-suit can benefit only a few of us, so why is IV behind this.
Can the core members comment on this.

P.S: Just to be clear, I am referring to Regular Updates to DONORS i.e CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS
Cant help but chuckle on your choice of words - DONORS = CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS.
So, others who volunteer their time, ideas ... are not CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS if they haven't paid 25 dollars in March ( since DONOR status started from March and 25 dollars is what is required to be a DONOR )
From a person who is in senior management position I'd expected better choices of words.
Now on to your point of more regular updates -- let me ask you this - do you give weekly updates to your subordinates every week ? Do you share your strategy plans every week ? I believe whenever their is a material update to be shared, IV core will share it - predicting the frequency of it OR assuming that you will get an update every X days and see a progress is not a good practical idea.

at least they are approving 2003/2002 PD applications as we have seen.....now that surelymeans they are working a little bit....
Whether they are short on staff, or whatever teh reason maybe, the bottom line is our complains to any higher ups/Senators..etc will just fall on dead ears as we are not the Voter Base.....

I wish there will be at least some forward movement in EB2 category in next month bulletin. The psychological barrier 01/01/2003 which was stuck there since May this year should pass. This month bulletin is little relief for EB2 folks compared to the PD unavailable in the month of September:)

Does this not mean that there could be a forward movement in the Nov bullietin ?
Based on this (although not sure where USCIS posted this date), the DOS wouldn't be able to use that data till the end of October (at the earliest) or early November (likely). Meaning that the December bulletin (issued ~mid-Nov) might be the one to watch for any movement (forward or backward).
