Also, in the do_not _register_to_vote point, add: One should not even verbally claim that they are a US Citizen (obviously especially when you are dealing with law enforcement, state and federal agencies). Fully agree with each word you said. Many people with legit US education (not TVU kind that many not so educated people on this forum are taking shelter under the umbra of) who have been in the US for more than 10 years are still lawfully waiting in the line. And this idiot with a BCOM and MCA ( correspondence course from IGNOU) is dreaming of porting into EB2 and screw us up. Shame on USCIS and Shame on DOL. I am really concerned that if legit EB2 applicants don't talk to lawmakers and send emails to USCIS, we will be stuck here for years due to these fradulent porting.

talked to my attorney and he did get 1 or 2 applications back from USCIS. but he is not sure whether it is from July 2nd filers or after that.
obviously they are returning applications.
Were they send back after the delivery acceptance from USCIS? Or were they send back because USCIS refused to accept the package from fedex/ups/usps?

Micro-payments may be a better option for some people. Do we want to disallow those contributions as well? I guess we just have to make sure that we donot deny the people who want to pay but cannot.

IV forums do not have much info about IV activities because it is not possible to mention IV activities on anonymous forums. On the other hand, forums have ignorant and irritating posts. Forum post quality is a reflection on members and NOT a reflection on core.
It is easy to conclude that IV has no direction and there is no leadership. However, if you read core posts carefully, analyze core decisions (choosing lobbying firm, ...) and follow media reported facts, you will conclude that core is in the right direction.
I called (without blocking my ID) Aman (first time) on 2nd March 2007. The only reason for my call was to check IV's survival in the continued absence of financial contributions. I did not ask anything else. However, he gave me some info about IV activities that I verified. I can assure you that
you are in very good hands (much better then I thought) as long as IV exists, and
Aman (and core) are very decent persons (once again, much better then I thought).
Thus, I very strongly endorse the following. That is, IV forums do not reflect IV activities. Also, core knows the worth of member posts that include info reported by media, lawyers, blog sites, ...; verify the validity of this statement based on the outcome of such events reported in the past.
I would request you and your like-minded friend not to confuse the organization with the website. The website is only a tool.

I agree with the original posting that our next step should be capture of unused Visa from Previous years . But this would require a change in law.
A better interim relief would be a 3 years EAD/AP for H1 visa holders ,as granted to some other catogeries , which would also reduce the processing time for EAD.

IMO, this is the biggest problem plaguing IV - perception of IV as just another online forum (community) or a "chat room" as a newspaper reporter put it ! (http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071123/NEWS07/711230422/1009) (under the heading "Taking Action").
This point IV = chat room has come to the fore, several times in discussions. A lot of persons have refused to join IV efforts with the ruse "IV is just an online forum where members discuss mundane matters". Whether someone admits it or not, IV has a serious image problem !. It needs to be corrected soon (by more than making another announcement type "We are not a forum" post !)
Strength of an(y) organization comes from contributing, active members. And not from MINOWs (Members-In-Name-Only Wusses)
